Spey O Rama 2015. proved to be a resounding success for the GAELFORCE Equalizer EED80 lines, placing them as the No1 distance casting line in the World.
1st Tommy Aarkvisla of Norway ,2nd Gerard Downey of Ireland and 3rd Geir Hansen of Norway, all used the line with great success and provided us with the best final I have ever witnessed, congratulations to all who took part, I would like to say a special congratulations to Martin Kiely of Ireland who qualified for his first Spey O Rama final..
The GAELFORCE Equalizer EED80 line took the top 8 places in the 10 man open final, with 9 out the 10 lines being used, a remarkable achievement
The GAELFORCE Equalizer EED80 & 15M line took the top 3 places in the ladies final,
The GAELFORCE Equalizer EED80 line took 6 of the 10 places in the seniors final
The GAELFORCE Equalizer EDD80 line also took the longest cast in the open qualification 191ft Vasily Olshannikov
The GAELFORCE Equalizer EDD80 line also took the longest cast in the Womens final 133ft Kara Knight winning the prestigious Knut Syrstad Trophy
The GAELFORCE Equalizer EED80 line also took the longest cast in the mens open final 184ft Tommy Aarkvisla winning the prestigious Knut Syrstad Trophy
The Jimmy Green Spey O Rama rules, 6 minutes, 12 casts, 3 casts in either discipline is by far the most difficult and prestigious distance casting competitions in the world, the one where the winner is crowned as the complete all round Distance Spey caster, the highest accolade one could wish for in the sport.
GAELFORCE Flyfishing has taken great pride from these achievements and will strive to push the envelope and create a product which meets the needs of the ever increasing Distance Spey Casting scene.
