I use this on the 13′ 7/8 G+, and its a perfect match! Its easily one of the best lines Ive ever cast.
January 7, 2025I have been fishing this line now about 9 months. and it casts beautifully out of my 11′ # 9 inexpensive workhorse rod. Well designed and constructed…. If I had this line when I started as a teen in the 1950’s when I had lots of room and plenty of fish to cover ,,I would have thought all my birthdays had come together..
February 12, 2017I have a 39 gram 39ft ESH head which I have been casting on a 14ft Loop LTS Slingshot and a 34 gram 38ft ESH head which I have been casting on a Vision GT4 Catapult. The head is light green and has a smooth soft feel with no memory after the usual bit of a stretch. Both the rear and front ends are finished in neat solid loops for easy connection to running line and poly leaders/tippet. I found it easy to achieve considerable distance with some lovely loops and good presentation. I would say they are very similar to the Rio AFS but appear a bit more stable at distance – IMHO better than the Rio. This is the best floating shooting head I have tried which include Guideline, Mackenzie, Vision, Rio and Loop. James Chalmers was also very helpful and sent some lines for me to try before purchase. If you are in the market for a new line or appreciate quality lines then you should seriously consider giving Gaelforce a try.
