This is easily the finest 14′ rod I’ve ever cast! I own the 14′ 9/10 GE, which is just an incredible rod in and of itself. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the G+ in the same model to be honest, but man and I’m glad I bought it. The rod takes all of the hallmark qualities of the 14′ GE, and simply elevates them! You can feel the upgrade in power and recovery immediately. No doubt, this rod easily handles ANY line you want to throw! From sinking lines to long Spey lines to heavy Skagits, it’s just easy on this stick. This rod could easily handle large salmon and everything in between. For me, I like the upper end of the grain window on the G+, it really unlocks the rod and rewards you with a beautiful ‘kick’ on the bottom of the rod. You can go on autopilot and just fish for a week without any fuss at all. This may be my favorite rod I’ve ever owned!
