A recent addition to the most complete line-up of double-handed rods on the market, the GAELFORCE Equalizer 12-foot for #8/9 responds to multiple requests for a tactical rod for small- to medium-sized salmon and sea-trout streams. The 12-foot length allows maximum maneuverability beneath overhanging canopy and reduces the profile of the angler on smaller rivers in low water. Deceptively powerful but user friendly full flex, its the perfect example of a powerful and progressive spey rod, casting lighter lines off the tip with a short stroke or heavier lines and tips with a slower more relaxed stroke it flexes deeply giving you that lovely feeling of time but responsiveness with the quick recoverh, I would favour this rod on any small river where large salmon swim, where more authority is needed playing strong salmon of perhaps using heavier flies and tips of a skagit line whilst being delicate enough to present micro flies on light tippets and light wire hooks, its a joy to play fish on and despite its small size id capable of handling large salmon.
