The Altitude+ is a of course a wonderful competition casting rod but there’s so much more to the rod, for those of us that fish the biggest salmon rivers with heavy lines and flies the rod is almost unbeatable imho. Deep loading with lightning fast recovery, even though its clearly a strong rod its light in the hand , I was casting the long belly clearwater head with it and it felt like a scandi! An Absolute joy to use
April 2, 2022This rod is at home as a super long distance fishing rod or for stepping up into the spey competition world. Super fast recovery, but user friendly full flexing, it really is the best of both worlds……once you pick it up and start casting it’s very hard to stop it’s just that much of a joy!
